The Musical Arts cello department is made up of three great, internationally recognized artists, such as David Apellániz, a professor at the Conservatory of Murcia and one of the most active cellists on the Spanish scene, as well as a great specialist in contemporary music, Xavier Gagnepain, a soloist of international stature and a great specialist in chamber music as a founding member of Rosamonde Quartet, and Eduardo Vassallo, a soloist with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for the past 30 years, having worked with conductors such as Simon Rattle and Andris Nelsons, and professor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatory. With the enormous solo, chamber and orchestral experience of this virtuoso team, training for the professional needs of today's cellist is more than guaranteed!
In the Bachelor of Music, specializing in cello, you will complete your musical education during 4 years of higher education at the Escuela Superior Musical Arts.

In the official Master's degree in Performance and Musical Research, specializing in cello, you will combine your research studies with master classes on your instrument, in this collaborative master's degree between the Escuela Superior Musical Arts and the International University of Valencia. All theory classes can be attended online, so you can settle down in Madrid and enjoy the city's frenetic cultural agenda.
