He has performed in important venues such as the National Auditorium, Ateneo and Circle of Fine Arts in Madrid, Wiener Saal in Austria, Nicolas Roerich Museum in New York, Palau de la Música in Valencia, Teatro Circo and National Auditorium in Albacete, Auditorio Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, Teatro Jofre de Ferrol, and Teatro Juan Bravo in Segovia. As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Galician Symphony Orchestra, Çukorova State Symphony Orchestra (Turkey), Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, together with conductors such as Enrique García Asensio, Ovidiu Balan and Franz Krager, among others. He has been awarded in more than thirty national and international piano competitions, most notably the First Prize in the International Piano Composers Competition of Spain and the National Competition of Musical Youth of Spain, Second Prize in the “Frechilla-Zuloaga” International Piano Competition, Third Prize in the City of Ferrol International Competitions, “Parnassós” (Mexico) and the National Piano Competition “City of Albacete,” or the Fifth Prize and KAWAI Prize for the best Spanish in the International Piano Competition “José Iturbi” (Valencia) . José Ramón began his musical studies at the age of 6 with the teacher Julia Guigó, who trained him in piano, theory and solfege. At thirteen, he continued his training with Professor Llanos Díaz at the Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance in Albacete, while attending regular classes with the Cuban pianist Leonel Morales, who was his teacher for several years and with whom he finished his higher degree in music at the Castellón Conservatory of Music. In 2015, he moved to the United States to study a Master's Degree in Piano Performance at Sam Houston State University with the Spanish pianist Josu de Solaun, one of his main artistic references of the present. In 2021, he finished his academic studies under the guidance of the American pianist Anton Nel, obtaining a Doctorate in Musical Arts at the University of Texas. That same year, he was announced the winner of the university's “Concerto Competition”, an honor that led him to play the following year, the concert No. 3 for piano and orchestra by Sergei Rachmaninoff, together with Farkhad Khudyev conducting the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra. José Ramón currently lives in Madrid where he teaches piano, improvisation and chamber music at the Musical Arts Madrid higher education center. His next commitments include several solo recitals, as well as with the musician Francisco Fierro, with whom he forms the Eclectic Piano Duo.
The students enrolled in the program will participate in three individual classes of 45 minutes together with the professor who is the teacher of the program.
Students will actively participate in concerts throughout the duration of the Musical Arts Summer Program, performing in them the works worked with their teachers.
The master classes will be held in the classrooms of the Escuela Superior Musical Arts, which has fully equipped facilities for their development, so that course participants will be able to make use of these classrooms for individual practice.
All the activities of this program will take place between the stipulated dates (see info for each program). In them, individual classes and student concerts will take place, distributed within the indicated date range, so that students can organize their study time and prepare for their meetings with the teachers.
